Foundation Repair, Waterproofing & Concrete Solutions
When walls start to bow inwards due to hydrostatic pressure we can push these foundation walls back plumb and brace with one of our many bracing systems
We excavate the foundation walls clean them out thoroughly and patch any cracks with hydraulic cement before applying our rubberized waterproofing membrane that's adhered with its own glue backing and a rolled on adhesive
If cracks are leaking we can patch them with epoxy and shoot a polyurethane injection to waterproof or epoxy to maintain structural integrity
When houses start to settle we push a sequence of piers down to bedrock. these piers allow us to lift and stabilize settling foundations with our hydraulic valve jack system
We lift and level any floating slab with a crushed limestone & portland cement grout that hardens similarly to concrete. holes drilled to pump grout are 1 inch and 5/8ths
Exterior french drains direct surface water away from problem areas into dispersion pits or a pop up emitter. These drains can be left open with decorative rock or closed which means that the grass would be scalped and put back for a closed french drain.
Interior french drains would consist of jack hammering out a 12 inch wide trench along the perimeter of wall. The trench is dug out with a negative pitch towards the pump. A 4 inch perforated drain tile will be placed incased in gravel with a sheet drain on top and lastly concrete repoured
Each I-beam is sat on the footing and encased in concrete. The top of beam is lagged onto floor joist with either angle iron or with 2×8s depending on how the joist run
Sump Pumps (interior/exterior) Interior sump pumps are dug down 2.5-3ft deep and incased in gravel the sump pump basin is a 22 inch diameter 20 gallon capacity with a 1/3hp pump

Cracks- One of the first signs to show up may it either be on foundation walls, floors or sheetrock. Keep an eye on if they're any wider than they used to be or if more appear
Doors/Windows Sticking- When foundations settle or bow inwards they sometimes knock things out of square making door that usually were ok a little harder to open and shut
Water Intrusion- The force of hydrostatic pressure pushes water to a path of least resistance which usually is the perimeter of your basement. At the same time the soils around the foundation walls are extremely saturated therefore adding pressure to walls and loosening soils under foundation causing settling. we have interior and exterior systems that help put this type of issue under control
other signs may include,
Cracks on chimney, soil pulling away from foundation, rotting wood, mold, trim pulling away
The sooner you can control a foundation problem the better, it will save you a lot of money down the road beacuase it will cause collateral damage adding additional costly repairs including plumbing, roofing or sheetrock to name a few. Once a foundation fails it will keep getting worse and a simple fix might turn into a major expense if not addressed
